Conversation on Stratified Gestures
On February 20, 2025 we attended a conversation moderated by Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova about the exhibition, Stratified Gestures, featuring artists Gerbi Tsesarskaia, Nicole Burko, and Yanira Collado held at Dimensions Variable (Miami, FL)
Each artist spoke about how their process was related to a concept of geologic stratification by bodily doing so or by using materials that are located under layers of geologic material. It wasn’t all about geology however, and other ethereal processes were also mentioned.
